I'm finally home for christmas

File 000 3

After a long tiring journey I made it safely home and immediately I hit the road running. We arrived on a flight that got in at midnight and my parents were there to welcome us. It felt so good, the air was warm, the breeze was cool and the sky was bright. Driving home I took in as much as I could see while my mom stopped at a local bakery to get us some freshly baked warm bread. The smell was intoxicating and I had my fill. I couldn’t wait to hit the beach and it was all I could think about as I tucked into bed that early morning.

9 mornings copy

We have already been to one 9 mornings event. I admit waking at 4am when I’m on vacation is extremely hard as I am constantly tired from my days activities. But we got up at 4am, took in some 9 mornings activities in our local village which by the way was amazing. Singing and dancing with games for the locals to take part in. We then took a walk to a natural salt pond nearby where we had the entire beach and pond to ourselves at 7 in the morning. The water was warm and felt so good I didn’t want to come out. After that we walked to our new International Airport that is due to open soon. We took a snoop around the structure and even walked on the runway it was daring and so much fun!!! After that really long walk that brought us home at 9 am, I took a short rest and was ready to go again. My sister was coming in that night from studying abroad and I couldn’t wait for my entire family to be reunited as it’s the first time we have all been together since I got married for Christmas.

We had to venture into Kingstown the capital of the country where mostly everything happens and the Christmas feeling was everywhere. Small villages on the way to town are lit up with christmas lights telling their own Christmas stories. Shops are decorated and Christmas songs are being blasted from every speaker. Christmas season in SVG is like no other. Festivities, families, food and fun. We took a drive to the leeward side of the country and took a short boat tour to see the area from the sea and it was truly breath taking. Our water taxi driver/tours guide Otto was informative and helpful, he is one of our trusted sea tour operators at Zanur Tours and we would be going with him again for our trip to Falls of Belene after Christmas.

Take a look at our view and our trip….it was really good.

Well my lovelies for the rest of the week my sisters, my mom and I would be baking our traditional cakes and bread, planning our Christmas menu AND awaiting the arrival and reunion of more families and friends. I'd be drinking black wine, vita malt, sorrel juice and puncha cream while eating black, red velvet and fruit cake. I know one of my New Years resolution would be to loose the christmas weight! I hope you plan to indulge in your own special christmas traditional foods as well. There is nothing else for me to say but.

Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS andA HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your entire family. I pray that you ALL have a wonderful time having fun with families and friends. This would be my final email for 2016, so until 2017……

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY AND A PROSPEROUS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

I've had some WINS and so can you

Pic in Puerto Rico extra small

This last week have been crazy with me on the countdown to vacation, I was still able to have a major WIN with my very first International Experiential Travel and Tours Consultation with an amazing lady in Atlanta. The consultation went so well that she will be booking her first tour with us for Easter and would hopefully be enjoying the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Easter Raguatta. Yay for us both, I was extremely proud of myself and happy to assist another lady on her solo travel journey to see the world and experience new cultures. You don’t have to miss out I’d be providing more consultations soon for the New Year.

"I had the best conversation and consultation with Zanny Byron Davis. I met her through this group and we've been chatting ever since. Planning a trip in April. Kudos to Zanny on winning!!! " Octevia

On the other hand, I have made it into Puerto Rico!!!!! Yay me after a 5 hour plane ride from Cyprus to UK and then 8 hours 45 minutes from London into Puerto Rico, we arrive and the warm humid temperature hits me and I’m in heaven. I am not a fan of flying but I absolutely love to visit different destinations, I would suffer the ordeal just to arrive and experience something new and exciting.

Puerto Rico is just amazing it’s a mixture of the US, Spanish culture and situated right in the Caribbean it has the Caribbean flavour, what can be better!!!!!

The next couple of days I would be landing in the land of my birth, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I cannot wait but meanwhile I’ll be enjoying as much as time will permit me on the island of Puerto Rico (said in a Spanish accent) try it HHAAHAH.

If you’re not enjoying my emails send me an email with suggestions I’d really love to hear and if you are enjoying it, send it to a friend who you think will enjoy hearing my little stories, updates and information. I am currently working on a really valuable Experiential travel checklist that would be available FREE on my website. Be on the lookout for this I promise to try my best to make it a must have document for you guys.

Until we speak again when I'm in Vincy.

My Vacation Countdown!!!

Image 07 12 2016 at 19.59

I am super excited this week not only because of course it's christmas time and is my favourite time of the year, all the radio stations are playing carols and all the parties and get togethers have begun, but also on Friday my hubby and I would be jetting off on our vacation and this also includes being home with my family and friends this year and enjoying our special unique festival 9 mornings.

We had this vacation planned for awhile and includes a couple of days in Puerto Rico, then onwards to St. Vincent and the Grenadines where we would be celebrating christmas, reuniting with my family and friends and indulging in all things christmas, get togethers, activities and of course beaches and sightseeing which would all be planned by me. We will then be spending a couple of days in Barbados and then back to the other side of the world. So I am absolutely ecstatic as it's starting to get very chilly here and I would be heading to the warmth and the sunshine.

I wish you could have accompanied me, I really do as 9 mornings is going to be absolutely amazing, I would have to endeavour to keep you posted as much as possible. But I want to encourage you to spend this special time with loved ones, try your best to relax and just have fun. Be thankful for your life and be grateful for all the things that you have that others may not have at this time. Also while you're reflecting, plan all the amazing things that you would like to do for the New Year. Do not be afraid to dream and NEVER be afraid to aspire for greater things. We were never made to be mediocre or to settle, we were made to aspire and to achieve great things.

Have a bless week my dear and wish me a safe journey, hear from you soon.
